TOPIC FOR THE BOARD: INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF MILLETS  2023

Lord Krishna in the Bhgvad Gita once said - āhāra śhuddhau sattva śhuddhiḥ. This literally means that by eating pure food, the mind becomes pure. 

The year 2023 has been declared by the United Nations as the International Year of the Millet, following a proposal by India, which wants to position itself as a global hub for millets. Millets are also an integral part of the G-20 meetings. 

Millets are said to be among the earliest, if not actually the first, cereals to have been cultivated by mankind. 

So let us all come forward and join hands to revive the forgotten glory of ‘Miracle Millets’ through the grand celebration of International Year of Millets - 2023.

Topic : G 20 one earth one family - Vasudhaiv kutumbkum 

The G20 is an international forum consisting of 19 countries and the European Union, representing about two-thirds of the world's population, 85% of global GDP, and 75% of international trade. The G20 holds annual summits where world leaders discuss economic and financial issues, and coordinate policies to address global challenges such as climate change, trade, and inequality.

This year India is the host for G20 summit.

India's G20 Presidency will be grounded in the theme 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' or 'One Earth ,One Family ,One Future, which underlines the message of equitable growth and shared future for all.
