Eternal and glorious! That is what DLDAV Shalimar Bagh is.
As glorious as its mother institution, the DAV College Managing Committee, DLDAVSB stands tall and proud in North west Delhi. It has faced the test of time and emerged stronger.
The school that started on 9th May, 1981 as a small enterprise with just 250 students and 8 teachers in a rented building, today, is a thriving institution with more than 4300 students, a staff of 250 and commands great respect in the knowledge society. The strength of the school lies in its resilience on one hand and dynamism on the other. The resilience is reflected in the permanent and highly experienced faculty and the dynamism in the Inquiry based pedagogical approach and state-of-the-art-infrastructure that make the transaction of knowledge effective and meaningful.
For Curriculum and Examination pattern, the school adheres to the DAVCAE guidelines for classes Nursery- VIII and CBSE for classes IX- XII.
However, the educational journey of the children in DLDAVSB consists of a lot more! As we focus on the holistic development of children, we nurture their skills and talents, cultivate positive attitudes, work on their self-esteem and develop sensitivity towards community issues.
Our mission is to empower students by equipping them with 21st century skills and outlooks, making them Active Citizens. Thus, we constantly reinvent our approach to education. The objective has shifted from mere academic excellence to global awareness and citizenship. Efforts are made to motivate learners to research, analyze and create knowledge. Teachers and Students are connected through online- platforms and exchange of knowledge takes place 24x7. As learners communicate and collaborate across global networks, they bring tremendous creativity and imagination to their classroom. - DLDAV is proud to be amongst the first few schools in Delhi-NCR to have been awarded a CERTIFICATE OF ACCREDITATION FROM CBSE which authenticated that it met the prescribed quality standards pre-set by CBSE.
