In line with this vision and under able guidance of Principal Ms. Nisha Sharma and Supervisory Incharge Ms. Meru Chandna DLDAV Model School, Shalimar Bagh organised a Science Activity Workshop for Class IX students, giving them the opportunity to observe, question, and experiment directly rather than simply reading about scientific concepts. By allowing students to test materials, watch real-time reactions, and explore models like the aeroplane air-pressure demonstration, the workshop made abstract principles tangible and relatable to everyday life. Such activity-based initiatives not only strengthen conceptual understanding but also nurture curiosity, critical thinking, and a genuine interest in science — helping students see it not as a subject to memorise, but as a way of understanding the world around them.

The session was thoughtfully curated to help parents navigate the newly introduced CBSE curriculum reforms for Class 9, rolled out under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF-SE) 2023. From the shift towards competency-based, experiential learning to the new two-level system in Mathematics and Science, the updated three-language formula and skill based education .
The session was skillfully conducted by Supervisory Incharge Ms. Meru Chandna, under the able guidance of Principal Ms. Nisha Sharma, whose vision and leadership continue to drive meaningful parent engagement at DL DAV, Shalimar Bagh.
Parents participated with great enthusiasm, engaging in an open and interactive dialogue throughout. Principal Ms. Nisha Sharma personally addressed queries raised by parents, offering clarity and reassurance on how the school is preparing to support students through this transition.
The session concluded on a heartwarming note, with parents wholeheartedly thanking the school for organising such an enriching and thought-provoking experience — one that left them feeling informed, involved, and confident about the path ahead for their children.
